Founded in 1978 by a group of glass artist friends, Glass Eye Studio's first hotshop was nestled in an alley of Seattle's Pike Place Market. Nearly five decades later, it continues to thrive with the same passion and revelry for all things glass. 

As one of the oldest and largest privately owned hotshops in the country, Glass Eye has an artistic legacy that runs deep. It has incubated generations of artists, among them some of the most famed glass artists of the Pacific Northwest. The studio is still a place where people come to learn, and stay to make.

Today, we are a woman-owned small business, proud to support a diverse and inclusive team of dedicated artisans and designers. Recognized for their mastery of form and full color spectrum, they work in collaboration with creative director and designer, Piper O’Neill, to create refined artworks that showcase the best qualities of glass.

Every piece we make contains a small amount of ash from Mount St. Helens. It is a trace, not an effect: a pinch of the region's most dramatic geology folded into the glass so each piece carries a bit of the Pacific Northwest inside it.
